*NotesThe Linnet was a steamboat that carried passengers on the Crinan Canal on the west coast of Scotland. The Linnet was built in 1866 and worked the canal for more than 60 years. She sailed the canal for the last time in 1929. The Linnet Shed was the Linnet’s boat shed and the remains of it can be seen casting reflections in the water on the canal.  –Peter Clayton
